The COMPACS®-RPM system for diagnostics and dynamic balancing of cradle-mounted pump rotors
The COMPACS®-RPM system is a modification of the COMPACS® computer monitoring system and is designed for diagnostics
of pump bearing supports assembly quality, with the possibility of a double-plane dynamic balancing of cradle-mounted pump rotors in their own bearings.
A new way of "SVOS™-balancing" ensures a smooth rotor acceleration to the nominal rotation frequency. In case of imbalance detection within the acceleration, the system
carries out the dynamic rotor balancing on the reached frequency. The balancing is carried out in a wheel and a half-coupling planes from the pump side. The imbalance measurement
accuracy is not worse than the second class balancing according to GOST 22061-76 or ISO 1940-73. SVOS™-balancing allows to eliminate imbalance on frequencies, which are less than
the nominal rotation frequency, which decreases dynamic loads and provides integrity of the tested rotor bearing assemblies in case of a wrong mounting or a highly-imbalanced rotor.
The quality of cradle-mounted pumps repair, evaluated according to digital signal processing and measurement results, are displayed as colored pictograms
(green – "ACCEPTABLE", yellow – "MEASURES REQUIRED", red – "UNACCEPTABLE") and diagrams with numerical parameters values.
The COMPACS®-RPM system measures and carries out a diagnostics on the vibration parameters (vibration acceleration, velocity and vibration displacement) of current consumption, temperature and rotation frequency.
The COMPACS®-RPM system carries out a complete analysis of vibration signals by means of fast Fourier transformation, digital filtering and envelope selection.
The tested equipment data can be saved in the system archive.
The COMPACS®-RPM system has a built-in automatic expert system, which allows an automatic detection of the following malfunctions defects of inner and outer races, mounting misalignment,
end shield misalignment, imbalance, fastening defects and others.

The COMPACS®-RPM system operation modes
In order to present different ways of information on the diagnostic station screen, there are seven operation modes (screens):
"MONITOR" Mode displays information on the controlled unit health.
"TREND" Mode displays and analyzes the measured parameters trends.
"ANALYSIS" Mode provides analysis of the signals spectra received from the vibration transducer.
"SYSTEM" Mode displays information on the built-in self-control system.
"OSCILLOGRAPH" Mode provides analysis of the signal form and the system set-up.
"BALANCING" Mode evaluates the amplitude and imbalance angle and carries out pumps rotors dynamic balancing.
"ARCHIVE" Mode provides search, viewing and printing of the pumps test reports.
Engineering solutions, implemented in the system, are protected by the Russian Federation Patents on various objects of intellectual property and Сertificates of official registration for computer programs.
